Clay and Light continues

We spent Saturday and Sunday photographing Sue's clay work. During part of Sunday we made calendars using the Clay and Light work. 

First extra is the back side of this same three-inch "bead." Second extra is an array of her "beads," with her holding one in her hand, for scale. I suggested an alternative title for her work, Ritual Objects. She and I were both interested in ritual and ritual objects for many years before we met. This project is a way of coming home to some of our shared fascinations.

Her three-inch beads would have to be worn by a very tall person in ritual garb, I'm thinking; maybe something like an outfit worn for Greek Tragedy. Flowing tunics, high platform shoes, tall headdresses.
