The calm before the...
This great egret and the juvenile glossy ibis appeared to be peacefully coexisting as I took this picture. However, not a minute later the egret chased the ibis away. The extra is a shot of non-breeding male hooded mergansers. Unfortunately I didn’t have the time to invest to wait for them to get closer to me. Striking looking duck anyway! I hope someday I have the opportunity to photograph a breeding male. Those are gorgeous.
Another day without too much time to take pictures… And another picture grabbed while golfing. Part of this pattern is that the golf courses are really pretty with lots of water features and therefore lots of wildlife. The other part is I’m golfing a fair amount :-).
