Brighson Has Arrived!

I can't take a photo of my new grandson yet.....but I want to be able to mark this amazing day!   Brighson Miles Harris was born this morning at 10.12am.   He weighed in at 9lb 9oz - quite the big boy!  In the extra is a Bronwyn with him, just a few hours old here!

It has been a very anxiety ridden 24-36 hours!   Bronwyn went into early labor around 5.45 am on the 6th, and her and Dave stayed at home and did their best to keep relaxed and focused.   Morgan and I distracted ourselves with all sorts of other stuff...can't even remember now ... i do remember a lot of Netflix was watched!!!  Then around 7pm they headed into the hospital.   more waiting for us!   around midnight they gave her an epidural so she could get a bit of a rest thro the night.   Around 7.30 am this morning she was ready to start pushing.

The next 3 hours were pretty challenging....not being able to go to the hospital to find out how they were doing was just so hard....but Dave did a good job updating us!  And finally the call and a photo of him just minutes after he was born.

This has been the most intense experience - i'm just so full of awe, love and relief!
