That dreaded day
Today is a day i've secretly been dreading for a wee while, it was the day Amélie got three more immunisations. Joni took her for the previous ones so it was only fair that i took her along for this set. On the walk up to the clinic I was nervous, afraid and emotional, its weird that I don't even flinch (ok thats a lie) at these if they're for me, something kicks in when you are the person that has to guard and protect this little girl that its simply not right to inflict any form of pain on them, however necessary it may be.
We got through it and three wee jabs later we were outside, a crying baby and an irate customer on the mobile phone to Arnold Clark to get his car booked in for a service.
After we took a long walk home via the park, we played around a while and Amélie had some lunch. Joni came home from work and I popped out to collect the car and finish making the gate in the back garden. .
And then, Boxing. I'm now just out of a hot shower, Amélie is asleep and Joni and I can finally catch up.
