Twisted

The start to my day got twisted all out of shape.

We left for school at the normal time this morning.  We normally arrive about 08:30 (with an arrival window of between 08:25-08:45).  Today we arrived at 9:05.  I have no idea why, but we just got stuck in a jam on Ferry Road (past the last point where we could turn off for an alternative route) and moved about 20 car lengths in 30 minutes.

That meant that instead of a quick drop off I had to park and take the boy in to reception to get taken to his class.  I had to reschedule my 9am meeting for later too.

I decided to go for my daily exercise on the way home before my 10am meeting.  I'd rather have a slightly more relaxed start to the day and then get a clear go at some of my backlog of work in the evening than the other way round.

Still - it doesn't happen often.  This is the first time we've been late to school or I've had to rearrange a meeting as a result of childcare stuff, so I can't really complain.

Now, on with my rather full day...

I've never been entirely sure whether this is a strange an unlabelled piece of art (there are a few mounted on the sea wall) or a bar that once served a purpose but has subsequently been mangled.  I think it's interesting either way...
