Pragmatic Priest

I went to church today, for the first time since March – not for prayer but to set up a video streaming system.  We had bought a Mevo Plus camera and a Røde wireless microphone, all delights of miniaturisation, but had reckoned without the new restrictions on YouTube.  Now you have to have 1,000 subscribers to your channel before you're allowed to live-stream using a Mevo.  I've only just set up the channel so that's unlikely . . .

And the alternative YouTube system, using Studio and RTMP seems to be inoperative, so it's back to the drawing board.

But in our church our priest was attending a diocesan conference by iPad.  Because it was cold in the church he still had his woolly hat on his head; he couldn't move the warmer clubroom because it was further from the router.  He made an excellent portrait, snapped between fiddling with the equipment and monochromed to add an element of disguise.

I reckon no Desert Island would be complete without one of Fleetwood Mac's later numbers: https://youtu.be/qNM6IuA87eM or https://youtu.be/kBYHwH1Vb-c
