Jurassic Coast
I (Chris) was on a one day photo workshop today on the Jurassic coast. After an overnight stay in Weymouth, it was an early start as we met near Durdle Door at 6.40am. We started walking to the view in near darkness and with cloud blocking the sun but it cleared to give us some good photos. We moved on to Swanage for a late breakfast and some shots on and of the pier. I focused on the old pier and tried some long exposures (see first extra). We walked out to Peveril Point (see second extra). It was back to the cars then and a short drive to Kimmeridge Bay where we stayed until it was too cold! No sunset but lots of texture (see third extra). A great day of photography, a bit of a gamble doing it in December but it worked out and with a small group (4 of us) it was easy to be sensible with distancing. The oddest point was taking up four separate tables (one each) for breakfast.
A 3-hour drive home but nice to be back. Annie spent the evening making a Christmas wreath at a small (2 participants) socially distanced workshop with a local florist. She's done a fabulous job with it (see final extra).
