Sandy Heath

This afternoon I went for a really good walk with my friend Yvette and her 2 dogs, the very friendly Riley and little 3 legged Rosie who had a terrible start in life. How they loved running though the greenery! But they always came back when Yvette called. Never having walked dogs I was fascinated by their behaviour. There were lots of other dogs and their owners on the heath. Everyone was very friendly.

The heath is the home of RSPB and also a giant communications mast.

Sand is still dug at the heath. Lorries can be seen moving slowly to and from the site.
