Yard birds continued
Anna's Hummingbird, a year-round resident. They are tiny, fast and loud. Besides the dry, rasping song delivered throughout the year, various squeaks, buzzes and chattering sounds are added during courtship. A quote from my bird book: "Male Anna's defend their territories with "dive displays", looping 60-100 feet into the air then zooming down to emit a loud pop in the intruder's face." Entertaining neighbors they are.
