Long Tall Angel

My local Oxfam had a splendid collection of Xmas decorations for sale when they reopened after lockdown. I congratulated them on it and they told me they'd gone to a lot of effort to assemble it all. This sweet angel was part of my haul.

And oft for pence and spicy ale
Wi winter nosegays pind before
The wassail singer tells her tale
And drawls her Christmas Carol oer
The prentice boy wi ruddy face
And ryhme bepowdered dancing locks
From door to door wi happy pace
Runs round to claim his ' Christmas Box'
