On the final mile home...

The benefit of living in a rural environment is the ease with which one can access the countryside. 

Problem is, with Covid-19 and lockdown and tier three restrictions, all the local public rights of way are akin to boggy mudbaths. We've had to head out deeper into the world. Out of Charfield, over Churchend, past Cromhall to Harris Wood and HMP Leyhill, Tortworth and Damery and home... just short of ten miles in three hours.

Fair to say, by the time this picture was taken in Avening Green, we were ready for lunch, a bit more lunch and hot mince pies and coffee.
