Abstract Lights

We had to pop down to the local shop as despite my meticulous planning we ran out of butter, spreadable variety. I decided that I would take the opportunity to grab a photo of the tree in the square, and do a suitable edit for Abstract Thursday. Blip done.

We managed to buy a Christmas wreath from the shop. They were sold out last week but luckily they had some more in. They must be selling like hot cakes this year as we spotted quite a few similar ones on doors on our walk back.

In other news, following on in a way from yesterday's blip, we had another Skype call with the FIL this afternoon which went surprisingly well. He seems quite happy. It will be interesting how he gets on through the Christmas period. Last year he wanted nothing to do with it, even refused to open the presents we brought him.
