Stoney faces

Lots of gargoyles and stony faces around the local church. Its a lovely building with a striking clock. At 1pm the clock strikes 13 instead of one. The story is that many years ago workers for a local Duke were often late back for work after lunch because they said they didnt hear the clock strike 1 so he changed it to change 13 so they had no excuse to be late.
Many of my friends have been married here and a vicar from years ago was so keen to get to the local pub after the service that he locked the church and all their hats and possessions were locked in the church.
I had my first wedding there ha ha :-)
