Listening to Miles Davis while deciding what to cook, so in the end I opted for tomato risotto. 
I had a couple of Christmas cards that needed to be posted abroad and the guy in the Post Office told me I was "pushing it a bit" if I wanted them to arrive before Christmas.  I told him that was an improvement on previous years where I was informed that I had no chance of them arriving before Christmas.  A glass half full moment.
