Splashes of colour

Nearly everything looks very dead in the garden at the moment - damp and very dead - so I was pleased to find some colour. I think this is mahonia, which I might remember, as I've been seeing quite a lot of it about recently. I can see why it's popular.

Our main phone line was fixed today by Openreach. The engineer was still finishing off when I left, so I didn't find out how many messages there were - hopefully none of them too urgent.
