BPPV
Early November I woke up with vertigo. It was so bad I had to crawl along the floor to open the door for help. According to the chiropractor and the PA (physician's assistant) I appear to have BPPV which is a type of vertigo caused by crystals coming loose in the ear canal causing the vertigo. There is something called The Epley Maneuver and other exercises that are supposed to help put the crystals back in place.
I am mobile now (walking with a cane and no driving though) but the dizziness and muddy headedness and some vertigo still haunt me. I cannot work. And now a full month has passed. I started the ball rolling to get into a specialist (an ENT) but that could take months (love our health care system) So I just wait now. Hoping for the best.
People who have this can have this continue for months and it can go away eventually. A small percentage of people have crystals jam up and it takes more than special exercises to repair that. Still hoping that this self rights before I actually can get in to see the specialist.
Life can turn on a dime.
