Hulme Arch Bridge...

Straddling Princess Road, the Hulme Arch Bridge supports Stretford Road and was opened in 1997. The bridge was formally opened by Alex Ferguson in a ceremony including the Lord Mayor of Manchester and Tony Wilson. Consisting of a deck supported by cables from a single arch, the design was influenced by Eero Saarinen's Gateway Arch in St. Louis, Missouri, USA.
