Christmas Scabiosa
No, this is not a new variety, just ordinary scabiosa (or scabious) growing between the weeds in our front garden. According to field guides and gardening books, it flowers from July to September.
I should probably teach those plants to read, so they can stop overachieving. But it's lovely to see a bit of colour on days like these (grey, damp and dark)!
P.S.: Thank you for the kind comments on yesterday’s blip, it was a difficult day and your sympathy was much appreciated.
