Zarka beach

It was market day today and I got some lovely fresh veg and a couple of fresh bream and chatted to some friends and neighbours in the street. Everyone's rather fed up that the lockdown here is to go for another month, till 7th January.

After that a snap decision to dash down to Zarka beach for a swim, to get one in before the rain would set in later in the day for a few days. The water was crystal clear and calm and the clouds were not too thick. We tried snorkelling for the first time for ages, and though cold on the face and forehead, it was fine once we got used to it and we stayed in the sea for quite a while and covered quite a distance.  We must be building up resistance to the cold. Lovely to see all that beautiful underwater life again!
Supper was the fresh bream charcoal-grilled in the fireplace - really delicious.
