Perspective Check

Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,

It has been a very work dominated week. I am especially glad that I have a crazy pup when work is busy. If I ever have the “I could really have done with this extra hour” thought when I take him out for a walk, it is completely gone by the time I get to the hill - come rain or shine.

I bumped into Bob today who was telling me that he originally came from Galashiels. His Dad worked on the old Galashiels - Selkirk line as an engine driver on the old steam trains*. Apparently he used to stop the train if he saw mushrooms growing and bring them home under his bunnet! “It was a different time” Bob said.

Work is much better when you remember to stop and pick mushrooms.
