Along the greenway

Today we had another walk along the greenway. I met B and Captain D. No canal boats today though but I think he was quite interested that we were walking along what was once a railway line. He was also pleased that this old railway coach has reopened as a take out cafe. So we had hot drinks and I also had a cake. The dogs had a good run around. Charlie had a bit of an extra adventure when he went down to investigate the stream by the path. The bank was too steep for him to get back up. Now he is an old dog he doesn’t have the strength in his back legs. So B to the rescue! She clambered down the steep bank, nearly falling in as there wasn’t anything to hold steady with. Anyway, she managed to grab Charlie and hauled him up so I could reach him and get him up the rest of the way. All’s well that ends well. Phew. He still wanted to go back down again but we called him away. Once is enough.
