At Myrtle Beach
My cousin D and I decided to gift ourselves a Christmas trip to the beach. So we drove to Myrtle Beach today for part one of our trip. After checking in at a large hotel where we saw very few guests, we went to the huge shopping and eating area called Broadway at the Beach. Sadly there were very few people here on a Friday. Many shops were closed and the restaurants were not busy at all. Which was probably a good thing. We had a wonderful seafood pasta meal at one of the restaurants.
As we walked around to rid ourselves of some calories we saw this Christmas tree in the distance changing colors. We walked further to where we found the tree and this
fountain that contained sculptures of kids and adults playing in the fountain. It was wonderful!
Tomorrow we are planning on a long beach walk before breakfast. Then we will be spontaneous and see what we can find interesting to do. Maybe a hike.
The weather is cooperating as it is warm and sunny for the next two days.
