Waka

Mario and I went to Christchurch today. After some shopping, and lunch, we went to New Brighton where I took this photo of a seagull flying away from a waka, which is part of the play equipment at the playground by the beach. 
New Brighton has so much potential, with palm trees and Pohutukawa trees lining one of the main streets, and it is right by the beach. Sadly, it has been neglected, and fallen into disrepair, with many empty shops, and graffiti everywhere - there's some great wall art, though (check out the extras).
