(Not So) Splendid Isolation
As anticipated, I got a message from the NHS Track and Trace App this morning telling me I have to self isolate. What made it more of a surprise was that about 90 minutes earlier I'd had one from them telling me that they'd assessed my risk and I didn't need to take further action. As if my confidence in this Government needed any further denting!
It was a good job this rainbow appeared over the back garden this afternoon: this view is likely to be the limit of my horizon for the next few days. Expect more Christmas ornament blips! In theory the isolation period expires next Sunday but, after yesterday's announcement about it being reduced from 14 to 10 days , I'm expecting four days off for good behaviour.
The good news is both Tess & I are feeling fine and, although Kate is coughing well, she says she's feeling no worse than a bad cold and Sophie and Joel haven't got any symptoms.
Many thanks for the concern and good wishes in response to yesterday's blip.
Back to lockdown LPs. Reached S for Paul Simon's One Trick Pony this afternoon. Here's the rather beautiful How The Heart Approaches What It Yearns
