Shut the gate

... or risk a fine not exceeding £2.00 (forty shillings). Don't know the provenance of this sign, but it made me chuckle when I saw it attached to the gate of a household in the village. We had a walk in the rain, but at least stretched our legs. And this seemed perfect for a Silly Saturday blip.

The village is hosting this lovely idea of an Advent Calendar trail. By Christmas Day, 25 windows will have a respectively numbered display for visitors and other villagers to find and enjoy. Today Mr PP and I found #s 1, 2, 4, 5, 6 and 11. And as it's the 12th today, we need to keep searching. (I wonder how non-participants feel about passers-by staring at their windows?)
