Tree Top Take-off

A joy to be out in the sunshine today and a walk round Ripple lakes, although quiet on the bird front proved rewarding.


Taking off and gliding gracefully off the branch in a rather it has to be said, majestic sort of way, my little egret looked stunning in the afternoon sunshine by the lake.

Not even out of the carpark and a passing walker said that if I was going round the lakes with a camera there was nothing there. He needed to go to Specsavers. 

Initially there was nothing but if you waited and watched there was plenty of bird life itching to get on camera. How cool to see a beautiful little egret flying over the tree tops.
