Sgwarnog: In the Field

Eased

With the Tier 3 restrictions on spectators at non-elite sport having been eased earlier this week, I was able to get to my first game since before Lockdown 2.

Eccleshill Utd were the away team in the last game I saw - today they were at home, hosting higher ranked neighbours Brighouse Town. Their respective leagues are due to resume next weekend so today was an opportunity to ease some rust out of the knees.

It seemed a fairly even game but then Eccleshill scored twice just before the break and then again shortly after the restart. Brighouse got a late consolation but 3-1 it finished.

Having left my camera at home in the rush out of the door, today's image is a phone photo, and captures the moment a second or so after Cissa's long range effort opened the scoring. As you can see, social distancing was not a challenge at today's game.
