M is for ......... The Messiah !!

Over 250 years after it was written by Handel it is still very popular and often performed . Full of great tunes ,choruses and ,of course,  a great story ! 
Ok it is not just a Christmas piece but it has lots of memories for me :- the first LP I had and played constantly,  
a concert in the Winter Gardens Bournemouth with my dad 
and then seeing Madhatter singing in it some years later !,,
Visiting the Foundling Museum and seeing the score - Handel raised money for Foundlings thru benefit concerts ,
