Sad Santa
Bit of a mixed day.
Busy morning sorting out washing and heading to the supermarket to get the groceries after listening to Mr PHL talk to various different people at the bank to understand why the payment to our builder had been declined. Amongst the questions asked were - how did we find the builder? Was it an advert Or word of mouth? Was the work complete? We’re we happy with the work? Did we think it was a scam? I understand they have to ask the questions but after waiting for 40 minutes on hold to be put through to the fraud department he was not in the most positive frame of mind and was quite irritated at having to repeat answers to security questions that he’d already given. This was after being assured that the security team was waiting to talk to him. He asked to be out through through to the fraud department and after a further 15 minutes on hold he was cut off. Eventually spoke to someone else who offered to complete the complaint form and request a call back. Phew!
I spent the afternoon at my friends house as her puppy had been quite unwell yesterday and spent the afternoon at the vets undergoing tests after being sick a few times. The vet suspects a gastric infection and has prescribed antibiotics and the wee puppy was much improved. Phew!
Home to make fajitas for dinner. Met my neighbour on the drive with the news that her husband has has 2 TIAs and is being kept in over the weekend. He’s early 60s, eats well, exercises and doesn’t smoke so I would have though he wasn’t too high risk. They’re waiting for updates from the consultant so keeping fingers crossed that he makes a full recovery.
Blip is of one of my Santa’s - his neck is a little flimsy so he often looks at the ceiling.
