Not Parkrun

#prettygrittyteamcoral meet up for a not Park run, cake and some comedy filming of a poem I wrote. Think we should all stick to running, swimming & cycling.


Pretty Gritty ladies let's have some fun
For days & days we'll swim, bike and run
The Kona to Christmas challenge was set
Kilometres to complete, targets to be met

We started in Hawaii, where we chilled on the beach
Manchester seemed far out of reach
We waited for the gun 'ready, steady,  'go'
Then 32 teams headed off to Mexico

Lots of early starts and late night runs
Four weeks of this, we'll have really pert bums!
Filled with fajitas we rushed to Canada
Adding up each & every kilometre

From there we made our way back South
To Spain for paella for each hungry mouth
Four days it took us, we were getting quicker
But New to Tri B were still slightly slicker

Our final destination was in the north west
Had we got the stamina to beat the rest?
We had a plan, just 3 days flat
To beat that team, to show that Matt

Monday came and we gave it our all
Without a hiccup, without a fall
Tuesday morning we were on fire
Our aims were set even higher

So close we are, so near to the finish
If we carry on now, there's a chance we'll win it
Jump on the turbo, pedal all night
With chatter on Zoom we'll be alright!

We're Pretty Gritty by name, Pretty Gritty by nature
We've got what it takes to get on and beat 'y
Stage 4 winners, what an achievement
Elation, exhaustion, we're awesome, we're brilliant!
