Cox's Orange Pippin Blue Tit
The tit has good taste. Bred in Buckinghamshire, this apple is aromatic, yellow-white, fine-grained, crisp, and very juicy. Cox's flavour is sprightly subacid, with hints of cherry and anise, becoming softer and milder with age. Beats a French Golden Delicious hands down.
MrQ picked all that he could reach from our tree and, as he can't climb a ladder now, left the rest for the birds. Horrid wet day. Ollie dog and I walked at Lodge Farm in the rain and saw a red kite and a flock of meadow pipits.
