Relaxe

Hannah has long been a purveyor of fine book recommendations and one of her latest is no exception. The Heart’s Invisible Furies that she has leant me is gripping me and kept me awake until god knows what time, probably about 3am. Normally reading relaxes me and prepares me for sleep but not when there is such a page-turner.

Today the weather was fairly atrocious with heaps of sea spray and mist blowing all over Seaton. Yesterday the sun was so bright here over Axmouth Harbour at the mouth of the River Axe that I could barely look up, and today it was sideways blasts of water that caused problems. It didn’t stop us reaching the end of the beach, but we soon retreated and spent the rest of the day on the sofa with movies and TV.
