Wet Santa

It seems to be the fashion to knit or crochet adornments for street furniture. This Father Christmas has appeared on the top of a local pillar box, and seems to be surviving the wet weather we are experiencing at the moment.
Also surviving, just, is Tom the tree surgeon who is today trimming the trees on our boundary, lowering the crowns to let more light into our garden and next door’s.
I shopped in Dorking this morning, and it was good to get out and about. I have done most of my Christmas shopping on line, but there are still a few things on the list. I went into COOK to see if I could get a Christmas dinner for 2 but was told they sold out in November!
