New Meets Old

The new bike path through town is finally completed. I took this morning to ride it from its start near Plaza Kioto to the top of the hill between Zihuatanejo and Ixtapa. The old bike path has for years connected the edge of Zihua to Playa Linda north of Ixtapa, but this new route makes it infinitely safer to access the protected part up the long hill. I took a lot of photos of the engineering challenges faced in the construction of this approximately 4 km, dual lane pathway, but liked this one of where new meets old (and a fortunate biker came along).
