Prettiest.
This has got to be one of the prettiest Christmas doorways I've ever seen. It's in the centre of our village, right next door to Costa, which used to be the Barclay's bank in the village. Many moons ago I used to clean the bank, a handy 'Key job' when the children were young and I could go out to work at a time to suit me. J worked in London and we never knew what time he'd get home. I also cleaned the Nat West Bank, which is now a chocolaterie. Seems to be the way of many villages these days. It does make for a pretty village though - A 'ladies that lunch' kind of place with Boutiques and coffee/tea rooms in abundance. I hope these businesses survive these times. It does always look very busy, with what's becoming a real 'Cafe culture' centre.
Covid cases on the rise in our local town. I headed to the Tesco on the other side of town today instead of my more local one as that's close to an area of high incidences. I just kind of hoped it was safer. Most people I know aren't going to be seeing family over the Christmas break. It's all such a mess.
