Yet another fiasco

It wouldn't be a weekend without watching DAZN's coverage of football. But whether or not this is going to happen in the future probably depends on how many people decide to keep on watching a sport that is being destroyed by Football Association fuckwittedness.

VAR is, of course, the main bone of contention. The game is being radically changed by people who have never played it. Today's Brighton vs. Liverpool match is a prime example.

Final minute of additional time, a slight knock of a foot on the way to a clearance, no appeals, no whistle, no change in any normal passage of play. Twenty seconds later, play stops, because someone has seen the incident on a screen hundreds of miles away. Penalty awarded.

Right decision? Doesn't matter. Sickening. Nobody celebrates scoring any more (which is the worst thing about it). The passion has gone. Football has become the ultimate computer game.
