Newlands Corner
The day started off bright with sunny intervals, but by the time I got to Newlands Corner on the Surrey Hills near Guildford if had truned distinctly damp. However, after a burger bun eaten in strict isolation in my car (one of the best I have had in ages!), I ventured out for a walk.
I needed my lens cloth close to hand to keep wiping the rain drops away (not always successful), but enjoyed my walk and the views of the Surrey Hills. Apparently, the crime writer Agatha Christie staged her disappearance from here in 1926, before reappearing in Harrogate, some 230 miles away.
