Unexpected Surprise

When I am out shopping thrift stores for work I buy quilting scraps to give to a cashier who volunteers at a thrift store in the next town. She makes masks and sells them on the counter there for a very reasonable price. Yesterday I got a package in the mail from her. She sent me another mask (I have bought a few from her basket)  a set of drink coasters and a Christmas greeting. That really made my day! The note said she would not be volunteering there until the covid crisis is under control. That is wise, she is older. I will miss her and hope it won't be too long until she is back.
