The little dancer

A friend asked me to send photos of myself as a child, so I dug through the family albums and came up with, among others, these three, taken when I was four or five. My first thoughts on looking at the sequence were 1) Who in hell thought of using that unsightly garment as a leotard? (My mother, no doubt) and 2) Did I ever again manage to produce such a graceful, effortless leg extension? (I think not).
