What A Revelation

When I was down visiting my Dad yesterday, we were chatting about one thing and another. we eventually got talking about the old days and then I found out
something that I never even knew about, that my Dad had two brothers. Now I know he had one brother, my uncle William who I never met as he went to Australia when he was 19 but never came back. He died when he was in his 50's but I also had another uncle who died when he was two years old, uncle Alex. My Mum then went on to tell me that my granny and grandad (Dad's mum and dad) and uncle Alex are all buried in the same plot at Roslin Cemetery, what a revelation.

So today, I decided to go in search of the grave. There was no stone but my Mum told me that it was the third plot in from the wee black gate. I had to phone her when I was there just to make sure I got the right location.

The blip today is off this part of the cemetery where my Dad's Nearist and Dearist are buried and it's a strange feeling to think I never met any of them but I feel I know so much about them with the stories I've heard from Mum and Dad.

To think earlier this year it was touch and go for a long time whether my Dad would survive his illness and thankfully he is well on the road to recovery now. I count my blessings that I still have him and my Mum to visit and spend time with.

So 300 blips, I cant quite believe it and would like to thank all my blip friends for visiting my journal every day and for all your kind wishes when my Dad was at his worst. I love this Blip Community of ours and look forward to carrying on blipping with you all to 365 blips and beyond.
