Project Almost Complete

Bit of rail straightening and points soldered. All of the points (left and right hand 1 foot radii) all failed in exactly the same spot and in the same way. Bit of poor design if you ask me but a bit late for consumer feedback (Tri-ang, Hornby & Meccano no longer exist in their original guise). Anyway, a relatively easy fix with a bit of flux and solder. They all line up perfectly now. The other damage to the track was probably the result of being trodden upon. Rectified with pair of pliers and a little heat. (having inserted a suitable sized nail so the hollow rails are not squashed while bending.

Just some scratches on the engine and bogey to touch up.

Enjoyed the project. I'll pass it on to one of the kids in the family (but not just yet - maybe next Christmas).
