Theft

The girls decided that it was too much like hard work to go back to the run for water while free ranging today, so might as well steal from the wild birds' birdbath.

It's always the weekend you have nothing in particular planned that you get loads done. Really enjoyable Friday night at the theatre with friends; Saturday spent doing LOADS around the house after trips to the farmers market, wild boar place in East Lothian and Earthy Foods, and then cooking razor clams for the first time (as back-blipped just a wee while ago), and not going too deeply into the anti-climax that was Big Al's return to St James'; Sunday was more outdoorsy, getting on with some 'building' stuff in the garden while Mel picked her dad up from the airport (making a wee fence around some rhubarb, and laying slabs for a garden storage box at the back of the garage), and just doing lots of things in the garden (including having a laugh at the girls enjoying themselves out in the sun), and also getting some long-planned for stuff done for the website - this has been my most productive weekend for AGES, really chuffed with how much I've got done.

So I'm knackered. And tomorrow is the first day in the new office that all of our stuff has (hopefully) been moved to over the weekend. Mind you, means a day causally-dressed and most of it just spent emptying boxes.

The other possible blips:

Shed Kitten - so named the 'kitten' because he started visiting the garden when he was really small. Very much a 'cat' in that he'll come and speak to you if he can be bothered. Today the open shed door (one of the other jobs done, tidied that up and looked at what to do with the 'bowing' floor) proved just too much of a temptation.

Dead Bee - nice to see them back, but not so nice to see one that got caught out overnight. He was still alive first thing this morning, but had expired by mid-afternoon.

Spong - the one Mel wanted me to Blip. 50s/60s(?) mincer, bought last Monday in Aberfeldy, that works a damned sight better than the electric job we got as a present a wee while back... Sometimes the originals really are the best.
