What a day!

Managed to get to Workington 'pier' and became a temporary member of a birdwatching club!  Wonderful as they pointed out a rare bird not often seen here-purple sandpiper. Never knew there was such a thing.  This photo shows the waves breaking at Harrington with the statue in the foreground.
