Every roof has a silver lining.....

A wet and windy start today.
Fed all the inside cows then went to feed the spring calvers and the 8 late calvers we pd’d last week. An old Simmental X had decided to calve so had to build up a pen in a shed then managed to grab the calf onto the quad bike straddling the petrol tank and took off with mummy in hot pursuit. The plasterers turned up to make a start on the office ceiling at 8am. Luckily they sent me a text yesterday at 6am to say they were coming , as it took most of yesterday, on and off , to relocate all the paperwork, tools, and general clutter and junk to another room. And Mrs F informs me she needs the room and table back for Christmas so it will be another day’s work piling it all back in !
By tonight they had all the insulation in place so hopefully tomorrow it will get boarded up and plastered.
Spent a long time in the adjacent kitchen washing all the surfaces before Mrs F got home from work as there was a good layer of stoor everywhere . No doubt it will be as bad again tomorrow !
