someday i'll be saturday night
Vicki and I had decided ages ago that we would go to the rain room at the Barbican today. The website said it opened at 11am so we got there at quarter past 10, hoping that would be more than amazing time. UH OH....people had been queueing since 9am and the kind lady told us we were looking at a 5 hour wait - at least! We decided we didn't want to spend the last day of half term queueing for an exhibition.
So instead, we decided to go to the Natural History Museum to look at the wildlife photographer of the year exhibition. OH MY GOODNESS.....never again will I attempt to go to that museum during half term again!! Every school kid in London was there and we ended up queueing for an hour in the cold. Still, it was all good when we got inside. The exhibition was very good and the muffins and cakes in the cafe were scrumptious!
After our cultural morning, we went to Dishoom to have a bit of a food feast: chilli cheese toasties, malai chicken, sheek kebab, dal, rice, roomali roti, nan, raita and of course, some nice hot chai at the end!! Happy days :)
I've even managed to go to the gym this evening. Love, love, love when Bon Jovi comes on my ipod on shuffle when I'm at the gym! hahaha!! Keep the faith on the cross trainer - what a champion!!
