Poinsettia

Desperately trying to keep my poinsettias alive by misting the leaves with water. Central heating is not good for plants.

Day two of the digital conference today and some interesting live sessions with producers and location managers talking about filming under covid protocols and the outlook for next year.

Sustainability has improved with less waste, portion control for meals and recyclable cutlery. Hygiene has improved with more toilets, welfare stations with portable sinks on set and improved cleaning rosters so even after covid productions are likely to keep these new protocols which will reduce the spread of colds, flu and food poisoning outbreaks.

Bad news this evening my brother has to work at Christmas so our family get together is squeezed into one afternoon on the 27th as he’ll be asleep after night work half the day. And I’ll be driving home that evening so can’t even have a festive drink. The government really hasn’t thought about shift worker families that are working 23rd - 27th. This news just about sums up this year. I really have had enough now.
