Pantry Still Life

Dear Diary,

The storm has started.  It is still dark so I can't see what's happening yet   It is only 13F right now and the snow fall will be, they say, 5-8 inches but perhaps a bit more.  I'm playing it safe with an early, indoor photo of my pantry.  Behind Mom's sugar and flour canisters are some really old kitchen pieces.  When I remodeled the house I wanted a real, walk-in with a window, sort of pantry.  Along with front porches and walk-up attics, it is one of the things that new houses don't have.  I love it.
