Rescue

I was driving back with the dogs this afternoon when a white bird caught my eye in the brook. Having never seen the Egrets there i thought it unlikely and we only have one white duck which lives on the deer farm. So went back to look and this is who it was. Its tail and wing feathers had just got too wet I think and it was bitterly cold so I manged to get him/her out. After a while it flew off in the direction of the house where the Dove Cot is... a happy ending.
