Em, Canvey

A really lovely, if somewhat cold, clear and sunny winter's day. I was out for dawn but the only decent photo was of a groyne which was fine but incredibly boring. I met up with Em and we had lunch and a walk to favourite place of mine on Canvey Island. When it came to taking a photo I wasn’t overly pleased about the bright sun as I have an obsession about blown highlights and Em finds it impossible not to squint not matter what way she’s facing, but she found a solution and I think this one works really well.
