Winter Solstice

As the winter solstice creeps up on us (21st December) the sun remains low in the sky throughout most of the day and in John Muir Country Park woodland the shadows are long and raking. It is only possible to get a reasonable shot if you can hide the worst of the sun's glare behind a tree but it does make the woodland walks quite dramatic.
